The following legislation was passed at a regular meeting of the Orrville City Council April 6, 2026: 

Ordinance A-26; An Ordinance amending the Zoning Map created by Chapter 1101 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Orrville, Ohio, to reclassify a parcel of land located on the east side of Ella Street known as the north part of PP #59-01640.000, consisting of a frontage of 25 feet and depth of 153 feet in the City of Orrville, Ohio, from R-4 (Residential) to C-3 (Commercial).

Cold Weather Alert: Protect Your Plumbing

With upcoming freezing temperatures, the Orrville Water Department reminds customers that private water lines and household plumbing are at increased risk of freezing. Frozen pipes can lead to service interruptions and costly damage.

The City authorized a new trash contract with Kimble Recycling & Disposal effective January 1, 2021. There are several upcoming changes that will effect all Orrville customers as follows:

  • The monthly rates are being increased to $15.90 per month. The monthly rate has remained the same for the past five years. The new rate will also remain in effect for five years.
  • There will no longer be a reduced senior citizen rate available.
  • The City's collection date remains on THURSDAY; however, all trash must be set out to the curb by 6:30 am, which is a change.
