It is the policy of the City of Orrville to accept applications and/or resumes only when a position is open. All job openings will be advertised in the local newspaper The Daily Record. No applications or resumes will be accepted by the personnel department unless an opening has been advertised in the newspaper. Many of the positions within the City of Orrville are classified civil service positions and governed by local civil services rules and regulations and require testing. Openings for technical, professional, and managerial positions, which are not classified, are also advertised in the larger metropolitan papers and professional journals.
