If you are the winning bidder you will be notified by email. Payment (cash, check, money order, or Visa/Mastercard) should be brought to the Safety-Service Department at City Hall during normal business hours and a receipt will be issued to you. The receipt must then be taken to the location of the item, shown to the City personnel at the department, then you may take the item purchased. If the item is not paid for and picked up within two weeks of the close of the auction, the item will be considered forfeited. Safety-Service Department City Hall Office Hours:
Orrville City Council has passed resolutions allowing the City to sell by internet auction any personal property which no longer serves a useful municipal purpose or unclaimed property that has been in the custody of the police department for a period of 90 days or more. The internet auction will be accessible through the City of Orrville's webpage, shall be hosted by eBay®, and managed by a City of Orrville employee. The unclaimed property shall be listed for not less than ten days. A minimum price may be set on specific items. |
